During his extensive career, Steve Copeland has been
involved in the planning, design, construction,
business development, commissioning, and operation
of power plants.
Steve has worked for OEMs, engineering firms, and
power utilities providing detailed design, project
management and project development services. His
generation projects include coal, natural gas,
hydro-electric, cogeneration, fuel-cell and
wood-fired plants.
He has managed the design, construction,
commissioning and operation of power plants,
substations and transmission lines. At one point in
his career, Steve served three years as the on-site
Area Manager for construction of a $1.1 billion
power plant.
While working for a utility as an Electric System
Planner, he was also responsible for the annual
generation plan and long-term expansion plan for a
4500 MW system.
Steve gained valuable experience in the staffing
industry where he was primarily focused on technical
and executive placement services in the energy
sector.
Steve holds a BSME degree from the Georgia Institute
of Technology and an |

MBA concentrated in Finance from the Georgia State
University.
Steve is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in
the state of Georgia and has served in several state
and local officer roles as a member of the
Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE)
. He is currently a member of the
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Steve hails from a military family. His father,
Robert Copeland, retired as a Chief Master Sergeant
from the United States Air Force. Steve’s son is
currently serving our country as a Sergeant in the
United States Marine Corps. |
